Captain Levi retired, and GAM is welcoming Taki and Draktharr as new players, along with Naul as head coach
GAM Esports’ 2025 season was a difficult one. Historically the most dominant organization in the VCS since their creation over a decade ago, the transition to the LCP—where they now compete against Taiwanese teams such as CTBC Flying Oyster, as well as Oceanic and Japanese rosters—has challenged them in new ways. The league has become significantly more competitive, pushing GAM’s aging roster to its limits. With only a single international appearance this year at MSI, the team missed Worlds 2025 for the first time since 2021.
Heading into 2026, they’re keeping some of their core players, including Trần “Kiaya” Duy Sang, who enters his seventh year with the organization, as well as Hồ “Aress” Văn Vĩ Đại in the midlane and Trần “Artemis” Quốc Hưng in the botlane, both of whom joined earlier this year. However, the team faces major changes with the departure of Phạm “Elio” Thạch Nhân Băng after two seasons, and more notably, the retirement of longtime captain and franchise star Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh after seven and a half years with the club. Levi will remain with GAM as a content creator.
GAM face the future without its captain
To replace the legend who led the team for so long, GAM turned to a new Vietnamese jungler who has been competing domestically since 2021: Lê “Draktharr” Ngọc Toàn, joining from Team Flash Vietnam and making his LCP debut. On top of that, the club is also welcoming former Team Secret head coach, Võ "Naul" Thành Luân.
But the biggest signing of the offseason undoubtedly comes in the form of Đinh “Taki” Anh Tài. The former Team Secret Whales support was a key playmaker and heart of his team in 2025, and now joins GAM bringing strong international experience and an explosive playstyle that should pair perfectly with Artemis. Hugely popular in Vietnam, Taki will also serve as one of the new faces of the organization.
