LeBlanc, Talon, and Akshan nerfed, while Aurelion Sol, Blitzcrank, and Yone get buffs
The League of Legends 25.22 Patch Notes are here. Following the official schedule, Patch 25.21 is expected to drop on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. This is the first patch after Worlds and the penultimate update before the end of the year, bringing the final major adjustments from Riot Games on the eve of the new 2026 season.
This patch targets a few overperforming systems and Solo Queue snowballers. Phase Rush loses some of its slow resistance, making midlane mages like Ryze and Orianna a bit easier to lock down, while weaker runes like Biscuits are toned back to open more room for choice.
Skarner receives higher base damage but a slower ultimate cast, rewarding E setups and reducing his reliability. In terms of champions, Akshan, LeBlanc, and Talon take nerfs to reduce their Solo Queue dominance, while Aurelion Sol and Yone are slightly buffed to bring them closer to a healthy win rate.
Buffs:
Champions: Aurelion Sol, Blitzcrank, Yone
System: Cash Back, Guardian, Hail of Blades, Legends: Bloodline, Movement Speed Shard, Nimbus Cloak, Tenacity Shar, Triple Tonic
Nerfs:
Champions: Akshan, Leblanc, Talon
Systems: Biscuits, Phase Rush
Adjustments:
Champions: Skarner, Volibear

"Systems
- Phase Rush is a bit too overbearing with its ability to resist slows to such a great degree.
- In mid-lane especially, the counterplay removal on champs like Ryze, Ori, Taliyah when trying to pin them down is just a bit too strong, so we're lowering its power there a tad
- This is also a good time to make a variety of changes to some runes that have been on the weaker side.
- Most of the changes here speak for themselves, but Biscuits in particular have been particularly strong ever since we reworked them to be more health and less mana focused
- While this change was overall positive, it resulted in a pretty large hampering of choice across the board and could be a little less powerful
Skarner
- Skarner is receiving a lot of buffs to his baseline damage at the cost of making his R less reliable
- We expect this to make "naked R casts" slightly slower so that if he didn't land an E beforehand these ults are harder to dodge
Solo Q Champs
- Akshan, Leblanc and Talon are all receiving nerfs as they are a bit too strong and fast at snowballing in Solo Queue
- For LB particularly, she will need to choose her spots a little more wisely, but this feels like an effective way to nerf her for regular players without impacting her Pro Play as much (where her moments to go in are a lot more limited)
- Talon Jungle has been really strong recently, especially in elite, so we're slowing down his speed to keep really high tempo on the map
- Aurelion has been a little worse for wear, barely hitting 50% winrate in certain spots
- Yone was the recipient of several nerfs last patch and we wanted his buff to be a bit more power positive"
